3 SHADES OF BLACK TATTOO STUDIO
John “Harm” Harman
A homegrown midwestern artist
John “Harm” Harman starting at a very young age was driven to working with his hands and had a passion for art. An unconventional start to say the least, as a middle schooler Harm would build his own machines starting his love and drive for tattooing. At 16 he made his way into a shop to start apprenticing. Shortly after he would take a hiatus from the art and only dabble here and there before diving back into his dream.
Harm has been not only self-driven but also self-taught in the years he has spent working on his craft. In 2013 he began his professional career as a lead artist in a street shop. Since then he has worked in a few shops and gotten comfortable doing many styles of tattooing. He is mostly known for his black and grey but can rock a cover up and pack some color. “My favorite tattoos to do are memorial pieces. They mean so much to the client but tend to be the most rewarding to me.”
